4 X 4 self
drive tours to the following areas:

Kaokoland is probably the
last wilderness area in Namibia, situated in the northwestern corner of
Namibia on the border with Angola. For quite some time there are speculation
that one of the best preserved places in the country, the Epupa falls, will
disappear with the building of a dam in the Kunene for the generation of
electricity for both countries. The thought of this possibility make it even
more important that a visit to this area must rank high on your “things to
do list”. If rough terrain gives you that kick, then the mother of all
mountain-passes, VanZijlspass, with a view over the Marienfluss from the
viewpoint on top of the pass, will tip the scale into the not to be defer
box. The Puros area is another hidden jewel of the kaokoland with a further
possibility of a close-up encounter with desert elephants that roam in the
area. Other highlights of this tour is a visit to a traditional
Ovahimbakraal meeting these people and discover more about their living
conditions and Palmwag an oasis in this arid area where both humans and
vehicles can fuel-up again.
If you have already heard of
a stone desert and of “poepstof’” but not yet seen then it is time that your
pack your 4X4 to experience these hidden jewels. This 14 day self drive
safari starts in Etosha and ends in Swakopmund, a small Germany in Namibia.

The Khaudom is situated in
the north-eastern corner of Namibia south of the entrance to the Caprivi, a
deserted area with deep two spoor sand tracks. A visit to this area with its
clear starry heavens and noiselessness gives you the opportunity to forget
the wrangling and bustle of the city. As part of Bushmanland, with a very
few Bushmen still living as their forefathers did, the gigantic baobab
trees, such as “Grootboom”, “Holboom” and “Dorslandboom”, and not to mention
the pans in the area this is another must for the “things to do list” of the
lover of nature. Due to the location of the area a visit can also be tailor
made to include special preferences such as the Caprivi or west Botswana.
Best time to visit the area is late winter / early spring after the first
rains has fallen when it is time for a mini migration to occur.
As with all our tours we
